Default Charging Indication Question

Please Login to Remove!

so i just got a new pearl, switched from sprint over to t-mobile and absolutely love it so far. i only have one question which is really not operationally related.. when i plug in my phone to charge there is nothing to show me it's
charging unless i press a button so the screen lights up and i see the little icon next to the battery icon.
my LED light only flashes green to show service, whereas on other phones the LED will go red to show it's charging, and on some phones the screen will stay dimly lit while charging so i can just glance at the status. so this long-winded question is basically, is that how the BB is? or is it a setting i can change so i can quickly glance to make sure my battery is still charging? thanks for your help!!

As posted above, that's the way it is. If the phone is powered off and you charge it you'll get a flashing led indicating it's charging.

You get the little lightning bolt next to the battery.

Mr_smith is correct. You'll get the lightening bolt but only if you press a key to turn on the backlight. There is no other indication. The first two replies answered your question.

Just a small bit of advice BBPearl, It does not come off to kindly to make harsh/rude remarks to Moderators that have helped so many of us, myself included. He went out of his way to try to help you. I think some thanks is in order, over ignorance!

ha, way to have each others backs! good for you guys. i think other people helped me, but not him. don't care if he is a moderator. i think his response was unclear and when i tried to clear it up he was rude about it. so there ya have it... *ignorance, by the way.

The reason why I chose to come to these forums is becuase the people here are very friendly and responsive. It isn't "having each others backs". It is more of a respect. Respect is also a 2 way street. You need to give respect in order to receive it. And by the way, thanks on the spelling error on my previous post.

I was not rude. I answered your post, nicely and clearly. It had already been answered by the first reply. I simply came to make it even clearer for you.

This is not the way to start off your experience here at BBF.

...and...it seems it's just you that thinks I'm ignorant and unhelpful.

ha way to go in there and edit your post. i never said you were ignorant. i said you were not helpful and rude. kind of a difference there... but maybe it's just that you don't know how to construct your thoughts into sentences. doing that twice in one thread is a bad track record...

You are way out of line. You asked a question and it has been answered. I suggest you learn better manners and begin treating everyone here with respect, moderator or not.
