Default 8830...phone light up on SMS arrival?

Please Login to Remove!

Is it possible for the screen to come on when an SMS message is recieved? I leave my phone on vibrate alot, and simply miss alot of messages because I cant see that one has arrived. Thanks!

I don't know if that is possible. You can set it up so the LED flashes when an SMS comes in. I don't know if the BB Alerts programs turns on the screen. You may want to check out that programs.

No, the screen will not light up when a message comes in. It only lights up on an incoming call.

If you use PocketDay, in settings under Utilities, you can set the backlight to come on for emails, it also works for SMS as well.

The problem is that when the light comes on, it uses battery power. If you get a lot of messages, the battery will discharge must quicker.

You can also use BB Light, free little application that has a setting that will activate the screen when a message is received, it only does so for a few seconds but it does work.

I use a program called SMS Display On. Cost me $5 and works great, you can set the length of time you want the display to come on when you receive an SMS message.
