Question Downloading/Uploading attachments to/from a pc

Please Login to Remove!

How may I download attachments (received via email) to my laptop (via bluetooth or USB), edit them, and then upload back to the blackberry (for attachment to email?) The blackberry is setup for wireless access with an MS Exchange server / BES, and the laptop has no Internet connection (unfortunately using the blackberry as a modem is not an option.)

Thanks

Welcome to the Forums.

With the 8703, what you want to do is not really possible.

You need the email with the attachment on your laptop, not on the PC. Mail and messages do not sync on a BIS setup (are you BIS or on a corporate BES system)?

Default Transfering files between blackberry and pc (laptop/desktop, etc

I'm on a corporate BES system. I don't do any syncing with the laptop (or any pc) at the moment. I would have thought there should be an aeasy way to duplicate the functionality available with pocketpc devices (simple copy/paste file transfer without the need for sync software?)

akwete, like I said, I do not believe this is possible with the 8703. It would be with later devices.

Remember, your BB is not a laptop or PC, and you can't pretend them to be such. It sounds like your needs are more for a laptop and/or 8300/8800 model BlackBerry with the MicroSD card where such documents can be stored, transferred to the laptop, edited and resent from the BB email.

If there is a workaround I am not aware of, someone will hopefully correct this.
