Is it a different version than the one for the 8703? I had just dl'ed that version and it was working fine on my 8830...I have version 4.4.0.20.

I definitely don't think that there is a clear cut winner...just better providers in different areas. You should just go with the one that gives you the services you want and the coverage you need....

I agree...for browser performance it is about the same...for downloads EVDO is much better.

I got mine up and running as well...I just moved over to the 8703 from the Nextel 7520. I haven't noticed too much difference in the load times, but the UI is definitely much nicer and you can plot...

I have only had my phone since Tuesday...but I have holstered and removed it plenty of times and after close inspection there is no sign of scratches.

I agree that it is very stiff though!
