I think you mean JDE, not IDE. Also you probably want to post this question in the developer forum.

You will need the latest version of the Blackberry JDE from www.blackberry.com and the latest JDK from Sun.

The Blackberry JDE is the easiest IDE to use for BB programing but if you poke around some of the threads in this area you will find that you can use any Java IDE with an ANT build script to do the same thing. I just use the BB JDE since it's hard enough to get time to write code in the first place and I don't need to waste time fiddling with stuff to get it to compile right.
