Default Make a Conference Call from two Incoming Calls

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I was just wondering is there a way to make a 3-way call with two incoming calls.

I know it is possible to do it if u are the one who is calling the other parties.

Thank you.

P.S: I'm using a 7250 from Bell

To initiate a conference call on the BlackBerry device
  1. On the Home screen, click Phone.
  2. Click the trackwheel and select New Call.
  3. Highlight a contact, click the trackwheel, and select Call.
  4. While the first contact is highlighted, click the trackwheel and select Hold.
  5. Click the trackwheel and select New Call.
  6. Select the second recipient, click the trackwheel, and select Call.
  7. After you are connected to the second call, click the trackwheel and select Join. The Phone screen shows that you are on a conference call with the two recipients.
  8. To add additional recipients to the conference, repeat steps 4 to 7.

Thank you Doug for your help, but this only works when you make both of the calls. My question was how to make a conference call with two calls you receive and not two calls you make.

Hansen, I also have a 8700 on Cingular but when I try to duplicate what you did, I get an error dialog 'operation cannot be performed' when I hit the 'join' button. I was trying to join 2 incoming calls. I even tried to join 1 incoming with 1 outgoing and got the same error. This is something I would love to be able to do if possible.

Appreciate the suggestions

I just did it again at work, from the work phone i called my BB, once i was in that call I then called my cell again from a different line, my phone asked if i would like to answer - hold current, answer - drop current, or nothing. I selected answer hold current. Afer doing that i had one call on hold and one active. I clicked my scroll weel and selected join and it worked.

Thanks hansenc. I called Cingular and they needed to add multi-party calling to my plan - it is a free feature, but just was not there. things are fine now! Thanks for checking.
