Arrow Can a Verizon 8703e run 8703eEFSBP_PBr4.1.0_rel493_PL2.2.0.166_A4.1.0.359_ SprintPCS?

Title says it all.. I would like to install the newest software for the 8703e which seems to be the Sprint version. I don't see why it wouldn't work on my VZ 8703e but before I install the upgrade I just wanted to double check to see if anyone on here has done it?

I assume you need to use Desktop 4.2 to install... that is a given.

And of course delete Vendor.xml and use jibi's modified Blackberry.alx file...

other than that, should be no problem right??

thanks for the info-- could you maybe give an example of a search that would have yielded this answer? I tried for about 10 mins searching and found nothing.

Wink

This thread has all the necessary information to assist in the downloading and installing of new BlackBerry OS releases:

http://www.blackberryforums.com/rim-...downloads.html

It was the third thread listed when I searched for "Upgrade Sprint OS Verizon". It is also the first "Attention" thread listed under "RIM Software".

well I installed it. deleted vendor.xml and did the copy and paste method, excluding the CDMA folder. Install went fine, phone running perfectly.
