Is there any way to block PIN messages from one person who has your PIN number?

Hmmm. Missed that thread when I searched.

Thanks for the reply anyway. Sounds like a feature RIM might ought to add in the future.

Agree however I am very cautious and aware of who I share my PIN with. Kinda of like your cellphone number, email address, etc. Just my $.02 but I do not know if there is a big enough need for them to implement something like your request.

Shoot your request off to them here:

I hear what you're saying snowskier79, but haven't you ever given your email address/cell number/IM userid/etc to someone and later changed your mind?

Or maybe you want to be available to some people some of the time but not all of the time?

That's why IM clients let you block individual users.

I will shoot off a suggestion.

Thanks again.

I hear what you are saying. My device is on a BES so even though it is my personal device I strictly limit who I provide that information to, i.e. family, friends, business contacts and associates, etc.

Best of luck on the suggestion to RIM, keep us posted if you hear back! Cheers!

Talking

Respond back to him telling him others have complained they get a virus on their BB when people PIN you. Mention you will understand if he does not respond and are hopeful this message does not include a virus.
Also send some garbled characters djeijdnwqu88 dcd81 in between 7snxb737xxb the message, that should convince him.

Pretty funny idea tsac, but that wouldn't fool me and it wouldn't fool most of the people who have my PIN.

Or instead of trying to fool the person you can tell the truth..

If I were in your position, I would explain to the person that I value the chats we have, but I would really like to limit them to once a day (a week, a month, etc) cause the time I spend chatting on my BB takes me away from my obligations elsewhere..

Just a thought..
