Default Has anyone successfully...

Please Login to Remove!

...modified the O2 software download and put the T-Mobile Zen theme on the BlackBerry Curve? I tried editing the Blackberry.alx file and replaced all vendor numbers with "100" (T-Mobile's number) and all that happened was the AT&T theme was removed. No TMo Zen theme to be seen anywhere.

I'm using an AT&T unlocked Curve on T-Mobile and am now running O2 software, and I don't even have the theme I want! Has anyone tried this and/or been successful?

Yea, I'm not sure why you tried that approach as that just set everything to require a t-mobile device, which you don't have.
try this:How to Add Vendor Locked Themes - BlackBerryFAQ

My device is unlocked and works fine with T-Mobile service with the O2 software, and the link you just sent me is exactly what I did to attempt to get the T-Mobile Zen theme. It didn't work.

You said you replaced them with the 100 ID. That's not what's written there, and that won't work because it looks for a T-mobile device. You can unlock all you want but the device is still branded to its original carrier. This cannot be changed by any means publicly available.
In order to add exra themes you have to remove the vendor attributes in the xml file.

Right -- just remove the vendor ID's entirely.

All that does is get me the O2 theme, because the software is from O2. So basically the only way I can get the TMo Zen theme is if I have TMo software? That info doesn't agree with what others have told me... Am I missing somethig here?

Yes.
Uninstall the softeware, and follow the guide I posted. Don't try to make interpretations of what you think you should do, go step by step and all the themes in the package will be unlocked

Sorry, I'm a real newbie with this stuff. I'm not trying to be difficult, I'm just confused.

The guide says I need this: BlackBerry Handheld Software Package Matching your carrier and the version on your device (Current version can be found in Options->Status)

I don't have that, all I have is the O2 software. Also, how do I go about uninstalling? I appreciate all your help, and I apologize for being difficult.

The O2 software will be a step back if you're using an AT&T unit, but this is the easiest way to unlock the themes.

Uninstall the handheld software from the control panel on your pc. It should be listed as something like BlackBerry 8300 Handheld Software 4.2.2.

After installing the software you'll have to remove the vendor.xml file located in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader then follow the directions in the wiki article

I always refer to this thread when looking at software versions and getting all the themes unlocked: http://www.blackberryforums.com/medi...-4-2-only.html

I have an ATT 8300 with O2 software and it's unlocked being used on T-Mobile. I have all the themes, including the T-Mobile Zen.
