Wireless Message Reconciliation
Hi guys, I am a new BES admin and I am currently having difficulty with Wireless Message Reconciliation. I searched the forum before posting but the one exact match to my issue was closed without a resolution posted. Any help you can give, would be greatly appreciated.
Running: BlackBerry Enterprise Server for IBM Lotus Domino Version 4.1.4.12 If I look at the Server >> Server Configuration it displays: Wireless Message Reconciliation Enabled: True However, if I look at the Users tab, the column Wireless Message Reconciliation displays: Disabled In my IT Policy, I have the CMIME Application Policy Group >> Enable Wireless Message Reconciliation set to True. I am a bit confused as to what is happening here. Thanks in advance for any insight you can lend. |
Is this happening to you as well? What are the options set on your device--Inbox-Options-Email Reconciliation? Is it turned on?
|
Thank you for the reply.
My device is set as follows: Delete On: Mailbox & Handheld Wireless Reconcile: On On Conflicts: Mailbox Wins Reconciliation does not work for me and is also displayed in the aforementioned manner. |
I think I had this issue. Basically, is it FALSELY reporting that
Wireless Reconciliation = Disabled in BlackBerry Manager, when you look at a specific user? |
Can you try turning this feature OFF from the device for a few minutes and then try turning it on again.

Is this the issue? http://www.blackberryforums.com/bes-...ciliation.html

This seems to be my issue. However, we just moved to 4.1.4 from 4.1.2. It has not resolved the problem.

What version of Domino?

Ok So its not the settings on the handheld, Not a reboot of the server(just throwing it out there), not the pim or profile settings, previous issue posting did not work....
Are your State Databases being maintained--any updall -r being run on it or perhaps run a fixup -j for that user? What happens if you try to add a test user and assign a device, does that show up as disabled as well? |
It is everyone on the server. It has never shown enabled. I know it is rather nit-picky, but I don't understand why it isn't displaying properly.

How many users are affected and do you have a test server to use the latest MR3 patch for SP4?
Check out the Attachment and go to the properties and let me know if your message settings say Enabled |

There are lots of anomalies with the BlackBerry Manager. For example: http://www.blackberryforums.com/bes-...orting-no.html I also have other info that disappears from devices on BlackBerry Manager - my 8100 Pearl has NEVER reported which network it is on. My old Pearl (with the same SIM card) always reported. Other users never get their phone number (and yes, I have checked that it is programmed into the SIM etc) - there does not appear to be any rhyme or reason for this either - i.e. my old t-mobile device showed network on BB Manager, new one does not. One Rogers device will show SIM phone number, another same make/model doesn't. This is not a great answer, but the only one I have: I have no idea why BlackBerry Manager is so sporadic with reporting correct/complete info. Nobody else has ever been able to explain it to me either. I feel that an answer to this specific query is like looking for a Dodo |
Chad any update?
