Default different 'sent from' addresses

Please Login to Remove!

several people have asked this but i can't find any answers... i have a personal email account set up useing the "pull" method and i have my work email forwarded to my BB address. when i reply to messages i want my address to change depending on which account the original was sent from. when i change the "reply to" address it applys to all of the mail that i send regardless of who i am replying to. any ideas?

Are you actually able to change the address? Some companies restrict outbound messages to their address only. This is due to HIPPA/SOX rules.

If you can change it, but have to manually do it each time you can upgrade to handheld software v4.1. With v4.1 it will automatically reply with the email account that the message was received to.

If you're using your BB in with the BIS solution then then you can only have 1 sent from address which you can only change by logging in to your BIS account each time

The ability to change the sent from address according to which e-mail the message was originally sent to is only used when a BB is set up in both a BIS and and a BES enviroment. The device has 2 messaging service book entries (CMIME) one for each solution BIS & BES and the device detects this and replies by default to messages using the service book that they came in on.

I changed mine by going into the options --> Advanced Options --> Message Services and selected the account I wanted to use next to "Messaging (CMIME)". Nothing to it. I am on T-Mobile and have a BIS plan. Hope this helps.
