What is the biggest card I can buy for it?

Do I need the micro SD or the SDHC? Or is there a difference?

What are the cheapest sites/places that you can recommend?

Thanks in advance for any help

They'll all work. Whatever the biggest card available is, it should work. I have a 4Gb card and 6Gb cards are beginning to come available.

Yes, MicroSD/SDHC. That link just takes me to Office Max main page.

I suggest sticking with SanDisk and from a reputable seller. There are lots of fake cards out there.

you have to turn on mass storage mode under options > media card. welcome to the forums. the 8820 will not support an 8gb at this time, so when you format it, it will format to the largest size available, 4gb

He'll need OS 4.5 as he has an 8820.

4.3 has been superceeded by 4.5 for all but the Pearl

Is OS 4.5 available for the 8820??? If so, please tell me where. I have a 6Gb SanDisk microSDHC in my phone, but it only sees 1.69Gb of it. My BB is also telling me that my media card is not available because the Mass Storage Mode is currently in use. WHAT IS GOING ON!!!

Hi

I have an 8GB card in my 8820. formatting in the BB gave 3.6GB so I took the card out and formatted on my PC. Now I have 7.6GB free.

Anyway seems to work although I have only used 1.6GB so far. Looking at the card in mass storage mode when connected to the PC shows the full amount of memory so I am assuming that it is all usable.

By the way - in mass storage mode it seems you can only access the card from the PC. set your options to 'prompt' when you connect then you get the choice each time.
