I installed this theme: RogersMJ.com: bPhone
on my 8703e and didnt see the warning about the software version before I installed it.

So now, on my screen, I see DATA abor... and it says reset below it. Whenever I remove the battery to reboot it just comes back to this screen and the bb is useless right now.

I've never used any of the bb desktop software, etc. and don't even have a cable.

Can anyone give me some suggestions on how to get back up and running again?

I'm on Verizon if that matters.

I would also suggest that you install the Desktop Manager for future use, so that you can make backups of your data.

What version of the software should I download? It gives you a lot of choices. I don't even have a cable for it.

You can download the 4.2 Service Pack 2 version. And you WILL need to get a USB cable for the unit so it can connect to the computer.

are you have the OS 4.2.1 or later?

whatever, you need the desktopmanager, a usb cable and the newest firmware.

8700 software will not work on the 8703. You will need to get a cable, download and install the 8703 software to your PC, and follow the instructions above.

please make sure you are giving correct links out to software before quoting another thread. You could have drove this guy crazy with him trying to load software thats not even compatible
