Exclamation Problem with PocketDay 2.5

Please Login to Remove!

I just did an OTA to download V2.5 of PocketDay Pro. After the install, the BB needs to reboot. After the reboot, my BB started on the PD summary screen. Pushing the Space bar or the Trackwheel I get "Uncaught exception: java.lang.nullpointerexception".

I tried to reinstall. Same thing.

I removed the previous version of PD. Same thing.

I removed the new verson of PD and reinstalled. Same thing

Help. I'm "PD-less"

revchrisesq,

This is an old BB bug. It means you have to reload the OS on your BB. It would have happened with or without PD when you rebooted next.

To fix this follow this thread:

http://www.blackberryforums.com/showthread.php?t=7575

Look for a post from me about 3/4 of the way down. you'll find a program you need to download to your PC.

Mark, just a suggestion mainly, but with the RSS feeds, everything by default from the title bar on down to the individual headlines are the same color.

For instance, I have enabled 'ESPN - Football' and 'CNN World News' for RSS feeds. Everything is listed with a Red background and a Black font.

My News
ESPN - NCAA Football
CNN World News

This makes it hard to figure out what is selected so you can expand. Once expanded, the same goes for the articles listed - Red BG/Black Font.

Also, for the ESPN - Football feed, its directed to the NFL, so you may want to specify that and add another for ESPN - NCAA Football (same link except ncf rather than nfl). The season starts in a few weeks, and you may as well give them the option for those who don't know how to change the current one or setup a new one, right?

jibi,

Isn't the line that you scroll to highlighted?

Not by default, no. Red BG w/ Black text for non-highlight display as well as highlighting (so technically, there no highlighting). If I change the options for RSS Font/Color to the first setting, it then displays as White BG w/ Black text for the sub-category only (RSS listing plus stories; the RSS category header remains Red w/ Black) and highlights when I scroll over the sub-listings.

BTW, I'm using a 7100t w/ the O2 theme, although I don't think that should make a huge difference.

Default Error on install

mark,

I did the desktop(download just before this post) install over my v2.17 and it came up with the fatal error could not load...

It rebooted my 7230 automatically and when I went into PD it has v2.17 still and PDUtils v2.52.

Everything else seems to be working fine. Am I missing a step during install?

cbotd.

PD should say 2.522. You should delete PD from your BB and re-install. You will NOT lose your settings.
