Default GMail app connection problems

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I'm trying to setup my Blackberry to access the google mail app but it just hangs/times out. We've got MDS running with a proxy server configured and I can access gmail fine through the blackberry browser. Here's the log for the connection attempt:-

Is this a firewall issue or something else? We block WAP connections and force staff to use the MDS/Blackberry bookmarks. Is this something to do with it possibly?

Thanks for any input!

Search button will save your time (and your gmail) ....

Also, for what it's worth -- we're in almost the exact same issue, proxied net connection that MDS funnels through in order to get out... Maybe that's what causes this problem? Don't specifically know, but the above solution works 100% in our case.
