I posted this message yesterday on the 9700 forum, but the more I think about the problem it should probably be in this forum. Sorry for the cross post.

Hi,

We are running BES 4.1.4.15 and Exchange 2007.

We have a brand new 9700 that can not open attachments sent to the exchange account setup on the BES. I get a little red clock next to the attachment name. I was able to open the same attachments sent to the @blackberry.net account on the 9700. That leads me to believe that something is wrong on the BES. We have 11 other BB's setup on the server that can open attachments fine though. They all use the same IT policy. I have resent the service books, resent the IT policy, restarted the attachment service, but nothing works. This user has never been able to open attachments to the exchange account on the BB. This is his second BB. When I setup the new BB, I did delete the user completely and reload him with the new PIN. Should I do it a different way? I was prompted about keeping the mailbox information or something to which I did clicked yes.

The 9700 is brand new running v5.0.0.405 (Platform 5.1.0.112).

Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I deleted the user and re-added them but the problem still remains. Does anyone have any ideas that I can try???

Do you have docs to go installed on device and attachment services?

Also thats an old version of BES, sure your not on BPS aka Professional?

I don't see the attachment services on the device but the attachment service is running on the server. Also the attachments come up on the BB when sent to the personal account and not through the BES. Docs to go is installed. Pretty sure we don't have BPS. Everything I have seen says BES 4.1.4.15

It tells me 4.1.4 (rollup 25). I realize its an old version but does it make sense that only 1 user out of 12 can't open attachments? Could it be something in the AD or exchange setup for that user?

I doubt it. I would also upgrade to Sp 6 and MR7 at a minimum.
