Default tmo bberry problems

Please Login to Remove!

I can connect to aim using the wap settings listed in the sticky on the forums, and my emails go straight to my bberry. Also berry 411 and bbtoday work. However:

Google locals program will not work
and I cannot use compose to send emails, however I can respond to the ones sent to me;.

does anyone have any suggestions as to what i can do?

I have a 7290.

Also if it means anything I have my reply to address set as my gmail account, for some reason compose worked when i did not have a reply to address set (it was on default tmo addr) :(

Solved my email problem thanks to:
http://www.blackberryforums.com/arch...hp/t-5495.html

Thanks for the information guys the information here is great.

Now I just have to figure out how to fix google local (http://www.google.com/glm/) for mobile and I will be happy for now; it seems that I am sending data to glm however my blackberry will not receive any (i clicked about) on the app and it shows how much data is sent/received.

If anyone has any input I would appreciate it.

This will probably be a silly thing to mention, but did you reset your device after installing it? I had a bit of a problem with it until I did the reset, and then everything was just skippy.

According to post # 11 on this thread: http://www.blackberryforums.com/showthread.php?t=23288

it doesn't work with tmo so i'm just sol atm :(.

Note: Google Local for mobile doesn't currently work with Nextel, T-Mobile or BREW-enabled phones (e.g. Verizon, Alltel, U.S. Cellular), or Palm devices. - source: http://www.google.com/glm/getstarted.html

GLM Works fine for me. It's just the other apps that don't work. I've got TMO as well!

I have google local working fine with TMO also. Did you get it to download? What error do you get? What happens when you launch it? Tell us more about what's happening.

"Network unavailable- Downloading Maps and Info depend on network
connection. Do you have a data plan? How's your reception? This
program will retry automatically."

When I have time I am going to try what the last post in this forum entry lists:http://groups.google.com/group/Googl...36ac19e0e26570

My Blackberry does have an IT Policy on it so I am assuming that may be the problem, however berry 411 and all my other apps work fine.

On my 7105t with TMO, Google local works fine. It works with TCP set to wap.voicestream or internet.voicestream which nows begs the question, what's the difference between wap.voicestream vs internet.voicestream. I had always had my BB set to wap.v until the above posting by xxrealmsxx above so I switched to internet.v and I see no difference (even when using the wap browser).

Any ideas? Is there a difference I don't detect?
