Default Auto Signature Question...

Please Login to Remove!

Hey guyz, I'm having problems with my Auto Signature config. I looked at the help section in BB and it gives me the below instructions:

1. In the messages options, click Email Settings.
2. Set the use Auto Signature field to Yes.
3. Type an auto signature.
4. Click the trackwheel.
5. Click to save.

But when I go to options, and click on messages, I get the messages in my inbod and do nto get the Email Settings optioin. I am new to BB and I did not know what I am doing wrong. So please help.

I am using a BB 8700G from Tmo.

Thank you in advance.

It's probably easier to use my.t-mobile.com. Click on Communication Tools>Setup BlackBerry Email. There you can enter in an auto-signature for each account.

They work fine for me. I suspect this line was the problem for you:

1. In the messages options, click Email Settings.

It means:
Go into your messages.
Click the thumbwheel
Select options in the list
Click the thumbwheel.

Your description is off, try Messages > press scroll wheel, Options > Email Settings > Auto Signature.

I tried this too.. but when I go to messages and optoins, I just have 2 choices there...
1. General Options
2. Email Reconciliation.

I did not see any option for Email settings... are you getting that in your piece ??

I am not getting the option of Email settings anywhere as I was saying in my earlier post... I just have General Options and when I select that... it takes me to a list as below...
display time: yes/no; display name: yes/no.. etc.

Default Frustrated Too...

I am having the same issue... only 2 options.

I was poking around the help and read something about the Auto Signature only being available if you are using BlackBerry Exchange Server.

With all the capabilities of this crazy good phone, I can't imagine it can't slap a piece of text at the end of an email without an Exchange Server to help it out!!!

I only had the 2 options also on my 8700g. I had to go to the tmo site

I'm pretty sure the email settings is only available if you're on a BlackBerry Enterprise Server...if you want to set up signatures for your BlackBerry Internet Service you have to do so through the website. Luckily w/ 2.0 you can set up a signature for each email account you add to your BlackBerry (as long as they're not forwarded )
