I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you, but thought people should know...
One needs to trust SureType and give it a bit of time to learn from you, and for you to get used to it.
The first time you type something - like your last name - it can be frustrating, maneuvering to get it right. But the second time you start typing your name, it may LOOK like it's going to screw it up, but if you have faith and just keep going, you'll usually be pleasantly surprised that it will get it right! After about a week, SureType should learn about 80% of what you use regularly and isn't in its standard dictionary.
Also, it acts as a kind of spell check. I had a user that would send me messages that were almost unintelligible on a full keyboard berry. He got a 7100, and suddenly I was getting messages that were easy to read!
It's really a matter of preference, but you need to give it some time before you make up your mind.
